Longhorn Secondary Home Science Student's Book 2 is a new course book that comprehensively covers and fulfils all the goals and targets of the new Home Science Syllabus. The book is well illustrated and simple to read, using language that is appropriate to the level of the learner. The content has been presented sequentially with each unit incorporating varied participatory student activities and revision questions. The Student's Book is complemented with a comprehensive Teacher's Guide that, among other things, provides guidelines on how to teach the various concepts and answers to revision questions.
Esther Awuor Ogadhoh lectures in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Kenyatta University. She has previously taught Home Science at Machakos Girls High School. She holds a B.Ed. in Home Economics and M.Sc. in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics.
Mercy Wanduara lectures in the Department of Fashion Design and Marketing at Kenyatta University. She has taught Home Economics at Kenya Technical Teachers' College (KTTC) and in various schools in Kenya. She has served as a KNEC examiner and is currently an external examiner at KTTC.
Bosibori Oigo lectures in Fashion Design at Kenyatta University. She has previously taught Home Science at Migori Teachers' Training College and at Ahero Girls Secondary School. She holds a B.Ed. and M.Ed. in Home Economics.
